What sets our bobbins apart
Our bobbins aren’t just pretty to look at, they are also larger than a standard EEW 6.0 bobbin. We tried to take advantage of all the available space between the flyer arms to give you an extra 10% diameter. This means our our bobbin measures 4.3” in width, instead of 3.9” of the standard 6.0 bobbin. Our Nano 2.0 bobbins are almost 10% larger as well, without interfering with your spinning.
We had some fun with the exterior shapes, too. While maintaining the same exterior dimensions we created a hexagonal design that is great for resting on a table or stacking bobbins together, without worrying about them rolling away from you.
We also wanted to make sure that the bobbin felt sturdy and was built to last, so we have incorporated mechanical structure into the brake end, instead of just relying on glue. We were able to achieve this by designing slots that lock the brake end into the bobbin face. For the Nano 2.0 the brake end is printed attached, so it is small, but mighty!
So what’s in the box?
Each bobbin will come with the 2 bobbin ends, one flat end and one brake end, each with a pre-installed bearing, and the bobbin tube. We test assemble every bobbin to make sure that the threads work, the bearings are well seated, and that it meets our expectations before mailing them off to you.
